Mother's Day Zoo Flower Corsages

Mother's Day Zoo Flower Corsages

A fun little activity we do around Mother's Day is take a fun filled trip to the Zoo.

I wanted to make something special for my Mom and all my Sisters and myself to wear on the trip.

I came across these flowers Here and I was instantly inspired to make my own and I

now I can't stop making them!

I had some animal print material that was perfect for my Zoo corsages.

I used a butter bowl lid for the circle pattern of my big petals.

I used a salt container for the smaller petals pattern.

Traced and cut out my circles.

It works best if you iron out any wrinkles.

Fold the circle, right side out and iron.

Then fold in half one more time and iron.

I had all the petals for my flower ready to sew together.

Thread your needle with coordinating thread. On the bottom of the petal, loosely

hand sew across the bottom opening.

Once your done sewing the bottom of the petal, pull the thread slowly together. It

should form a petal shape.

Keep adding the petals until you have the petals all connected.

I used 5 petals for the big flower and the little flower.

Repeat same steps as above for the little flower.

Once you are done with the big and little flower you can connect the two together with

thread and attach a button.

Flip the flower over after you attached the two flowers together and added the button.

Then cut out a felt circle and hot glue to the back of flower.

Then you can add a pin to the back.

And your done! A wonderful Zoo corsage for some wonderful Mommy's

To make the corsage's even more special for the Mommy's, I put each one of the

corsages in a plastic baggie and added a cute topper to them.
