5x7 picture frameBut the price of the goodies were $39.99 for the set.
So I set out on a mission to make my own set of beauties.
I found the nests at Walmart. They were clearance down to $1.00 a piece.
I found the music clip art on The Graphics Fairy.( You do not use the glass part of the frames.)
I used it as a primer. When it was dry, I painted the frame with the blue paint.
I let the blue paint dry. I wanted a more distressed look to the frame. I watered down some brown paint and applied it over the blue.
Then I took a old cloth and brushed and patted off the brown paint until I got the look I wanted.
For the Robin's Eggs I purchased a pack of small hanging Easter eggs from the Dollar Tree.
Then I painted some of the eggs with the blue paint.
After the blue paint was dry. I took a small paint brush and flicked brown paint over the eggs to get the speckled look. Slowly pull the strings from the eggs when they dry.
It's OK if you see white when you pull the strings out. You can touch it up with blue paint or just cover the areas up with moss.
You can also glue some moss to the nest.
