Snow Day Box

When school is canceled and the kids are bored...

I thought it would be fun by making a Snow Day box. Something fun for the kids when school was canceled. I already had the box. It had came with some candles in it but you can use any type of box.

I heart you Cricket! I used the Potpourri Basket cartridge and cut out different sizes of snowflakes in blue, white and pink.

Then I also cut out the lettering on the Cricket.

Remove all the little extra pieces of paper in the snowflakes.
Get either a foam or paint brush for the project.

I took my paint brush and brushed a layer of MOD PODGE over the area I was doing.

I layered the lettering over the MOD PODGE on the box. Then I put another layer over top of the lettering. The MOD PODGE was the Gloss Lustre.

I did the same with the snowflakes until I was finished.

Let dry.

We added...

Hot cocoa

Snow paint misters

Card games

Treats

I am going to look for a little craft kit to put in it.

You can add a Snowman Kit or even a new book to read.

Oooh, I really think this is such a great idea! It would be good for me to have a box of not often seen items for special occasion days like a BIG snow!! Makes the day extra special then :)
