Handprint Family Tree

This is a fun project for your family to try. I seen a idea like this in a Family Fun magazine. We used a canvas board. I first painted the canvas a cream color. Let dry. Then we painted our hands with a foam paint brush and slowly put them on the canvas. Each family member had a different color. We started from the bottom on up. Then let completely dry. Then I went back in and painted the tree and added some leaves.
Super simple and fun project for you family to enjoy!

I love this idea! I have a question though...since you used a canvas, what type of paint did you use for the handprints? Normally we use tempra paint for handprints, but I was under the impression that tempra paints & canvas didn't work well together...

Hello Domestic Nerd, I am glad you like our family tree. We had fun making it. We used acrylic paint. I used the little bottles you find at Walmart in the craft section. It turned out great. Good Luck and have fun!
